A 250gp rainbow crystal spell component is a bit pricey, maybe there's a queer touch spell that's cheaper to cast. =3
What if you're double gay for unrelated reasons before they cast the spell?
Suddenly your Paladin’s eyes turn to rainbows and a lot of their actions and comments make so much more sense.
I dunno why, but trying to think of a practical use for this randomly made me think of an old flash game that involved a part where the character is fighting a lesbian ghost, and if you select the wrong choice the ghost possesses you, causing the main character to become gay, which makes him decide to unalive himself. So, maybe it could be useful against some homophobic bandits or something?
Practical use: if you didn't know other characters' or NPCs' sexual orientation before (and couldn't just ask them and trust the answer for some reason), you could find it out by casting the spell and checking for rainbow eyes.
This feels like a setup for a comic like
Villain: casts this spell. "You fools! You're now too gay to defeat me! Cower before my mighty hetero--"
Gay fighter stabs villain
Double gay ranger shoots him with an arrow.
Pause for a beat
Party: "So pride is this weekend you want to go to the beach?"
Like, the spell had no impact on their combat prowess and the bigot thought it would.
