So, I realized a Lil while back, (2+y) I'm mtf trans. My spouse and I have been together ~16 years and now she's committed to seeing this through and seeing how things end up because she loves me, not my flesh necessarily. But, she's concerned because we grew up with a very strict, conservative, religious background and did always consider ourselves cishet.

She loves me for me, but is worried about the future and super curious about exploring her sexuality to figure out if she's as straight as she thought (she's also had some do I want her or to be her thoughts).

Main point is, does anyone have any suggestions for how she can explore and figure things out without opening the marriage, and preferably without porn?

I'm still struggling to understand the romantic and sexual attraction spectrums and where I fit in the, but she seems very high on the romantic spectrum as in, she can't imagine being intimate without a serious relationship.

I don't know. I'm just looking for options to help her figure herself out, and us out, while I figure myself out too.

Ok, so I've been hammering away at my homebrew ttrpg-wargame and I decided to give clerics the ability to conjure troops. Different alignments get different things. So far, I've given clay golems to the good alignment, flesh golems to the evil alignment, and awakening plants to the chaotic alignment. I am unsure what to give to the lawful alignment.

To clarify the vibe I am going for, here's a a paraphrased version of each one's fluff text:

  • "This clay golem you have given life to is a person. It is, by its nature, inclined towards kindness, helpfulness, and generosity."
  • "The flesh golem you have constructed is a person with a different alignment from yours. They respect you as their creator, but may rebel if you do not discipline them, or if they feel disrespected, or if they disagree with you strongly enough."
  • "You grant sapience and mobility to a number of plants of your choice. They may or may not appreciate this."

Vibe-wise, whatever I give to the lawful alignment should be obedient, predictable, and honest. My first thought is to give the lawful alignment stone golems, as in animating statues. However, i think it needs to parallel the mass troop creation i have granted the chaotic alignment. I have a number of ideas, but everything I've come up with either doesnt seem to follow the Lawful vibe in at least one way (Animating armor seems very scary and somewhat evil) or doesnt seem sufficiently exceptional or awesome (You have a class feature that lets you rally a peasant mob? Watch me do that with a Persuasion roll.)

I am also very averse to giving them the ability to call down angels, as I think creatures that powerful or abstract should never be easy to call upon unless the DM wants them to be easy to call upon.

For a last bit of context, lawful-aligned clerics are basically paladins. So, a better version of the question would be how you think paladins would conjure or fabricate troops if they had a class ability to do so?

Hello friends,

I’ve decided to start a series of posts sharing the true stories of queer refugees. I really want to create a clear and honest picture of what life is like for LGBTQ+ people in refugee camps like Kakuma and Gorom. I hope this will help the community understand us better not just what we go through but who we are. I believe storytelling can build connection, awareness and trust.

My name is Cyara Kaira. I’m an Ugandan transgender woman and a passionate human rights defender. I’ve survived violence, displacement and isolation not because I broke the law but simply because I dared to live as myself. My journey into exile began in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya. I arrived there after fleeing Uganda where being trans can mean imprisonment, torture or sometimes death. I thought Kakuma would be a place of safety but instead it was another battlefield of trauma. In Kakuma, LGBTQ+ people are treated as if we are not human. I lived in constant fear. One night a group of men attacked us and tried to burn down our shelter. The trauma from that night still lives in my bones. I wasn’t sure we’d survive. This happened several times where queer refugees were usually stoned, cut with machetes and burned to death. It is on record that we have been losing lives starting from new born babies.

The camp had no support system for queer refugees. We were left to fend for ourselves and punished when we tried to speak out : ( I was threatened to be killed by the head of police ( OCPD) of Turkana region simply because i stood up for others. Remember this wasn’t me at all I didn’t wake up one time and thought that I can one time battle with some government institutions or UNHCR simply because they failed to respect even the basic human rights. They turned me to who I am today. A lot of transphobia happened to me and my fellow queer refugees that really forced us to flee to South Sudan. Now you might ask why of all countries near Kenya. The neighboring countries of Kenya were Tanzania, South Sudan and Uganda my home country which almost the leading country in world for criminalizing LGBTQ individuals. South Sudan was the nearest to the Kakuma refugee camp.

Here is a link of PinkNews about me and the life of transgender refugees in Kakuma. It was taken some years ago but I believe it can also add to the story I am talking about.

We fled to Gorom a refugee settlement in South Sudan. It was meant to be safer. But the truth is even here life remains uncertain and painful. Literally the same and here also the government is really strictly against us. We are because of UNHCR’s advocacy and also UNHCR cannot do more if the government speaks. I really have a very long story that I can tell for days.

In my next post, I’ll share what it’s like for queer people living in Gorom how we survive, what we lack and how we care for one another.

Thank you for reading. And thank you for seeing us.

CyaraKaira

Campari was neutered today. Sake didn't like how he smelled after the visit to the vet and was hissing at him while he was still groggy from the anesthesia.
