Everybody came here to say the same thing: I need that sign in my house.

Classic chin split scenario.
I think they do things like this just for the pure challenge.
Every household with a toddler
"These fucking people..."

Well, there's yer problem, right there.
I just saw a video, and apparently "ma-AH!" means "Come here!" in feline language. I have not personally confirmed this, but saw several examples in the video.
I was once walking down the hallway in my house, and passed my cat going the other direction, and I said "Hi, Zuzu!" and she meowed back, and we kept walking on our separate ways. I thought, "I am now actually communicating with my cat!"
And I was. She was the smartest cat we ever had, and extremely expressive. She even had a sense of humor. She would play jokes and pranks on me to get me to chase her (she liked at least one good chase a day).
Ever own multiple cats? They figure it out pretty quickly, then it's all good.
You may have to protect the runt, though. I did that with our cats. I made sure to pick up the runt every day and give her special attention in front of the other cats (5 total, at the peak, only one left now).
You could tell the other cats got the message, they would literally look at each other like "Are you seeing this shit?" But they realized that she had as much value to the humans as all the rest of them, so they left her alone.
They look bristly instead of soft. That would be a major marketing barrier to conquer. People like fluffy. I still want one, though.
Just go Pss, Pss, Pss, and they'll either run away, or flop down for some pets.
