No (I'm scared)

Nah, just kidding. Im working on it and slowly getting mire comfortbale with going out in fem. Problem is my lack of actually good looking clothes that I can wear.

Do you have access to any thrift stores?

[–] cows_are_underrated@feddit.org 9 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I do, but The Main Problem is, that most stuff isnt my size and that I Am quite picky when buying clothes (and I Am quite bad at deciding if something actually looks good or not, so I become even more picky). I Am lucky, if I find one or two pieces of clothing I like.

Going thrifting with female friends really helped me develop taste and find good stuff.

Absolutely same for me too. Can't recommend it enough.

It feels like you are describing me. 😅

Girl, same.

I mean uhhhh. I don't have any women's clothes shoved in a box somewhere, since I'm super duper cis.

But if I did it's a totally normal cis male thing to do to try and look pretty and feel feminine.

I'm not an egg, you're an egg!

If you have trouble finding stuff, honestly just start asking female friends you're out with to go to thrift stores and flea markets. You can usually find all kinds of different fashions.

It wasn't courage; courage was dressing as an enby-leaning guy for 47 years and trying to feel comfortable in it.

Once I started my transition, I had replaced all of my clothing in the span of 2-3 months. The only "guy" thing I still have now is a pair of Keen's for crappy weather. I'll kill them in the garden this year, I promise.

That's how I felt too. And it was enough for a time. I was just happy being fem at home. Step by step, and with the help of a friend, I gained the confidence to go out in fem clothing. I started with one or two accessories and now I wear what I want

Just being able to get them to try to wear them is a win in my book

Last week I went through a drive-through with a hoodie over my girl clothes but with nail polish and light makeup too. I survived!

That's The best feeling. Going out with invisible fem clothes.
