My new Maine coon is now gated in the living room and respects the gate blocking her access for now. But I bet she’ll figure she can jump higher than it soon enough.
Surprisingly I've never had a cat that begs for human food. They'll like it, but they'll wait to be given it. The kitten has her own plate for treats and waits there if she really wants something. It doesn't always work and she accepts that.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who uses the squirt gun deterrent lol
