Well, looks like we're going from going after transgender kids to going after transgender adults.
Everyone knew they were just using kids (and we all knew those were exceedingly rare cases) as a dogwhistle. Its always "what about the children" to these people, but its never actually about the children.
An easy way to tell if someone actually cares about children, ask if they are in favor of free school lunches. If they don't, they don't actually care about the wellbeing of children. There's an ulterior motive.
That's been the explicit intent of the anti-trans movement from the beginning:

That was always the intent. And transgender issues are just an excuse to attack LGBTQ people in general and thus remove legal gay marriage. And that is to lead to eroding the whole idea of equality in gender/sex so that women's rights can be reverted back to biblical descriptions of women's rights.
