GRS/SRS funding (beehaw.org)

A question for those of you, who had GRS/SRS and are from the countries, where the state or private insurers don't refund it even partially. [1] How did you fund it? Have you saved enough in case you earn rather good money? Created an internet fundraiser or at least a tip jar and "campaigned" for it? I'm single (and have been since, well, very long time) and although I earn well, I'm very anxious about finances, especially that I still have a mortgage. I'm worried about stable income too and to have enough savings to not suddenly be homeless in case of losing my job...

[1] I'm from Poland, it's one of those countries.

My 19yr old immortal kitty Orion was just found, nearly a week after he wandered off. He's old and his vision/hearing isn't the best. While I kept looking and giving all the neighbors flyers I was prepared for the worst. Nothing has ever loved me so unconditionally and I am so grateful for his return.

Found him frozen in the middle of winter and thought he was dead. Bottle fed him, and now I have a 12 year old permakitten that hops on me any time I sit down anywhere.

I always wondered why that line resonated with me so much... now I get it.

Charlotte was given to me as a 6 pound 6 year old lady, and I've had a wild ride with her health.

At first things were good, but then she started getting diarrhea, vomiting, losing weight, not eating, and peeing outside the litter box. I took her to the vet where I spent $2000 on tests to no avail, so we went with a prescription food.

Even then, she wouldn't touch the prescription food that was to help her sensitive stomach. She kept meowing for food, but wouldn't touch what I gave her. She went down to 4 lbs, which was really concerning.

I tried so many things, until recently I decided to just put some canned chicken breast under her prescription food- my god it's working. She doesn't pee outside the litter box anymore (unless I forget to scoop it), and her weight is back up.

Honestly I just think she hated the food I gave her so much that she would rather die than eat it. I also noted she likes diversity in her food, so I swap between canned tuna and canned chicken mixed with her normal prescription food. She also is much, much happier.

It uses the Wretched & Alone system which I know nothing about, anyone played it before

It's been almost 10 years. I've given up on the hope of them being less jarring to look at so covering is the only thing I can do...

I like to think she’s guarding me…

I can't seem to shake imposter syndrome or doubts about whether I'm "trans" or whether I'm a woman, etc.

Just wondering what you all do when you feel that way, if you have any recommendations?

It makes me feel awful, there is so much commitment to a transition it feels like you have to be certain, but I just don't have constant certainty.

Sometimes I'll sit down and try to analyze it objectively, basically considering the "null hypothecis" - if I am not trans, then I would be cis, if I were cis then a certain set of things would be true (like, estrogen would probably not feel so great, testosterone would not make me depressed, etc.).
