Scruffy aka Big Boy. Since i can't seem to upload, he has no teeth and a floppy ear. When he arrived on my doorstep 6 years ago, his fur was matted, his mouth bloody and inflamed (stomatitis, which got his teeth pulled) and he has a BB permanently lodged in his side from some asswipe that shot him. About 16 pounds.

I have a cat with same issue - stomatitis- and removed his teeth about 5-6 years ago. Have never had an issue since. Still eats hard food and treats small kibble size. I’ve never had a vet try to sell me an additional procedure???

I had one pass away at 16 from liver failure. Held him in my arms at the vet while the final shot was done. That was years ago and I have tears in my eyes thinking about it now.

Beautiful! I had an eskie long ago (close to Sammy) and he was the best dog. If I ever get another dog I would definitely do this again.

My cat is “newly” diagnosed. Vial says good for 42 days. It’s about that time and I still have 1/2 of a vial left. He’s on 2 units twice a day. Has anyone tried the pens? Would they be more economical at this dose? With insulin so expensive it would be nice if they sold it in 5ml vs 10 if it expires so quickly. :(. Any advice is appreciated!
