Egypt proposed a new outline for a hostage release deal on Sunday that would see Hamas release 40 Israelis taken into the Gaza Strip in exchange for a 14-day truce, Israeli and foreign media reported.

As per Cairo's proposal, the IDF would halt all military and intelligence operations in the Strip for two weeks in exchange for the release of 40 hostages.

I hope, I hope, I hope.

The abandonment of the hostages is devastating to me. They are a backlight that reveals who doesn't care about human life at all, and unfortunately almost everyone on every side is glowing.

End the war. Release the hostages. Bring everyone home and negotiate a permanent path to peace. And while I'm wishing, I'd like the leaders on both sides charged with war crimes.

If only either side cared what Egypt wanted

I think Hamas has said they're never releasing the hostages but here's hoping.

Where did they say that? 🤔

They said they're never releasing them until hostilities cease. Stop spreading misinformation.
