idk if there’s a good lemmy community for it yet, but i use the curly girl methods. there’s a pretty good scanner for products, but i can’t vouch for functionality outside the US.

deffo look up “squish to condish”, that’s essential. try “co-washing”, but if you don’t like the results then don’t even worry, that one isn’t a catch-all.

i hate to point people towards reddit, but that’s where i got most of my initial direction. they’ve got a very well established CG community. the basic advice is: find someone who looks like you want to, and follow whatever their routine is.

personally i use almost exclusively SheaMoisture products. they’re kinda pricy, but you can water the conditioner down to like 50/50, so it kinda works out.

also if you have thick hair, unfortunately you’re just gonna have to use more product. i was told “keep adding conditioner until it feels like you’re handling a bunch of worms”

what kinda hair you got? i got specific recommendations if it’s curly at all, and/or if it’s thick.

also i’ve got that exact razor and i love it, blades last me ages

My understanding is that bisexual is attraction to two or more genders (of any nonzero amount of attraction) and that pansexual is equal attraction to all genders. Bisexual is an umbrella term and pansexual is a specific type of bisexual.

nailed it, chef’s kiss, got it in one.

for me the distinction is important bc even the idea of having a gender preference is really foreign to me. genitals and gender expression have nothing to do with whether you’re a shit person or not! i can’t even imagine a scenario in which i’m “turned off” by the way someone was born. OR MUCH WORSE, by the way they CHOOSE to find comfort and self-fulfillment via gender expression.

context: i got the ’tism and something like a nonbinary identity myself. i’ve been told those things do a lot to explain this perspective lmao

idk why people aren’t excited to use new words. we’re speaking a highly mutable and constantly evolving language. every year we get brand new words, others get new meanings, it’s all very exciting!

but then someone specifically says “i would feel more comfortable if you used this word” and THAT’S a bridge too far. it’s a kind of selfish that i just don’t understand.

I’d say “self determined”, “sad” didn’t even cross my mind.

People online will also upvote blatant racism and 9/11 truthers and shit. I’m eternally grateful communities like this exist where we can talk about how fucken stupid people can be, and all feel a little less crazy. Who the fuck seriously says “hag” anyways? I’m glad I’m not that dummy.

You’re beautiful by the way, I’d be intimidated to talk to you irl hahaha

well if that isn’t just the sweetest thing I’ve read all day! ^^

This is like, the place to go for hair care. Your hair is already really pretty by the way! Getchu some CG approved products (this can help with shopping), find a routine that you can mesh with, and you’ll be surprised by the results ^^

I wish I could help with other stuff but I’m just a little AMAB eggy boi who gets away with having girl hair. I love helping people with hair tho, it’s such a minor thing but can be SO transformative!
