I can feel them judging me from here.

Here to say this. I suspect in a sex positive society that didn't look poorly on bisexuals, we'd have 50% or more bi and pan. Curiously, while bi women are regarded as LGBT+ by MAGA and Christian nationalists, bi men have to commonly remain closeted when in a het relationship. I don't personally understand the why, but it's a thing.

Youtube Algo keeps pointing me towards smart trans women doing long-form topic deep dives. And yes, sometimes they're an hour or longer. But they're also dense with valid consideration.

As with Shaun or the rest of Breadtube, I just watch /listen ten to twenty minutes at a time as I'm doing chores.

I'd say, if they won't hire you because you are a trans person, then you don't want to work for them.

And if you do hire on to such a place, you'll watch your soul dwindle away slaving for industrialists who don't believe you should be allowed to exist.

I'm tired of living in a world that doesn't want me, that I'll never be good enough for. My parents were right, I'm never going to be good enough.

Here in the States, I've discovered it's more that society isn't good enough for us. Our teachers, ministers, officials and yes, even our care providers expect us to give 110% and fix ourselves from within and be categorically useful while still half-assing their own jobs and providing poor service, themselves.

I deal with suicidality daily, and the Trump years and since have been just shitty all around. At the end of 2016, the general sentiment for the new year was It can't get worse. 2017 said hold my beer and then gawked at awe at 2018.

Then the epidemic and lockdown happened, and I'm struggling to get professional care, myself. And in a holding pattern until I do.

Right now, my effort is to check in with my peers, and remind them they aren't failing in a harsh society, rather the society is failing, and is not even providing consistent standards we might strive for. It's why the alt-right and Christian nationalists are gleeful to leave the rest of us to the elements in desperation to find a place to fit in.

You are beautiful and and valid and worth more than the crap this society spews out like so much industrial soot. You deserve so much more than the dystopian late-capitalist hellhole we live in. And there are others out there, also deserving, who wonder if it's all their own fault.

Huckabee doesn't care about the safety of kids or the evils of non-straight sex. She cares about the transnational white power movement (and / or the Christian nationalist movement. There's a lot of intersection.) If you're a member of the movement, then, from Huckabee's position, you deserve protection and promotion no matter what wrongdoing you might have committed. And if you're outside the movement, you deserve condemnation and persecution even if you've done no wrong.

One of the recent advantages with the newer generations cane with the internet which provided a place to create common nomenclature and symbols.

Take a kid who notices their own likes and sense of self doesn't make sense to their peers and vice versa. In my generation we just felt like an outlier, a deviant from the norm. With the internet LGBT+ community they can find these desires and behavior patterns are not unique, are not unhealthy or harmful, and there are others with like experiences.

There's also the matter that these groups are commonly marginalized much the way women and nonwhites are. Our community is united by the need to be regarded as equals by the state and by our neighbors, even when we are out (id est, who we are is known by our peers).

I miss my city.

To be fair, it's now a gentrified mess that pushed me out. But my heart is still there sometimes.

I was scared to go to school due to bullying. Transphobia might be a justification for it, but lack of transphobia doesn't stop bullying.

Also, the bullying doesn't stop in school. Bullying continues in adult society.

Maybe the human species is just shitty?

Master of disguise.

Scientific racism was once a thing too. The white power movement seems to cling to its old mechanisms.
