It’s pretty brave to run against Putin at all, even without criticism like this. For one, someone can’t really expect to win, so it’s essentially a form of protest. And then, look where Navalny is.

The most responsible thing to do at that point would be to stash the gun somewhere in the house, not leave, and wait for police to arrive. But I can see why he would be freaking out. And of course, who knows what would happen when the police arrive.

Yeah, i figured that out and edited my comment. But no, throwing away a weapon you just shot someone with is not considered merely littering. Why would he think he could cover that up by tossing his gun? Tell the cops the kid shot himself I guess but that wouldn't pass ballistic evidence.

Not sure why you’d describe it that way. Trump tried to extort Ukraine to lie about Biden in exchange for weapons (and was impeached for it), then grudgingly did what Congress had already approved.
