How could I forget about Dolly Parton! I should be ashamed. The world could use a few more of her.

I did appreciate the story, thanks. And that's about exactly how I expected it happened, lol. Minus the hikers, I wouldn't have guessed that, but I can imagine exactly how it sounded when they told you to watch out for them bars!

With proper use of metamagic, every spell is potentially like five different spells. Poindexter over here might have two dozen different named spells written down in his diary, but I know two fire based spells and I can make each of them do about eight different things, half of which aren't even fire damage.

It's the difference between writing down a recipe, and knowing how to cook.

Don't let my people monopolize that accent! It's a beautiful accent, in my opinion. Shame about most of the folks it's attached to. Most people hear a southern drawl and their mind goes right to white supremacy rednecks, which is unfortunately not incorrect of them to think. I wish we had some popular well educated folks to bring that sound to the larger populace so that it isn't such a red flag.

Much love and good luck. I'm from Louisiana but I don't live down that way anymore. Been hearing a lot about what the local gov is up to recently though. Things are getting rough down there. Worried about you guys.

I don't want to up and tell you your home isn't safe for you, but I do advise keeping an eye open for opportunities elsewhere. There's a reason that it's difficult for you to find public LGBTQ+ groups down there. Don't get so tied down in the bayou that you're a sitting duck, know what I mean?

In the meantime, you're not going to be a fan of this advice, but discord is a good place to find communities. It's a long shot, but if you find a server you like with good folks in it you can ask around and see if someone knows someone who knows someone.

Good night, good luck 💜

I lost a run the other day to a series of events, one of which included me (in-game) finding and eating enough psychedelic fungus to trigger a shift in reality, which transmuted all smoke in the universe and any created thereafter, into acid. Like carbolic acid, not the fun drugsy kind.

Acid, naturally, eats through all creatures and materials in the game world, including many things you'd consider otherwise invulnerable, until it evaporates - into flammable gas.

Therefore any time an object or material caught fire (which is often, with or without player interference), it would quickly consume anything below it for several meters while feeding itself with flammable gas and spreading to any new flammable materials it uncovered.

The world very quickly became a very large mess.

Local board game store is a good bet

Elemental type coverage isn't really his thing, that's for the nerds to worry about

On one hand, we have Wilhelm - court wizard, politically savvy, intelligent, keeps a library of useful spells bigger than your mom and never casts the same spell twice in a day.

On the other hand we have Chad Thunderballer, international man of mystique, thrower of nearly infinite lightning bolts, wielder of the forbidden school of Metamagic, slayer of dragons and thots alike. Unless that dragon is blue or bronze.

Landry from the game Tyranny is one of the best examples of scholarly Bard I've ever come across. That game was underappreciated.

And America had inflatable tanks during WWII to take attention off of real units. I love dunking on the Russian military as much as the next guy but this is just a good common sense move. The enemy keeps striking your targets? Install fake targets, make their lives just a little more difficult.

It's vulnerable to dispelling, and I'd argue anything else that Wall of Force is also vulnerable to, i.e. Disintegrate.

Still busted, but it's not immortal.

And yes, rules as written you can fire arrows through it so long as those arrows are inside the area of the Hut when you cast it.
