It’s short, but it’s a start:

Campaign Cartographer 3+ is indeed only available for Windows. Though I must say that I have it working under WINE just fine. YMMV, ofc.

Yeah. Very well summarized.

Perhaps I’d also add that the advancement is earned with blood and sweat. 😅

I suppose YMMV, but to me it’s central. You see, the Hunter becomes a hunter because she heard a higher calling, and believing in it is what keeps it going.

You can rename Conviction to Faith, and it probably shows what I’m hinting at. That faith can get you out of trouble (supernaturally so) but it’s also precious. You’re still human, flimsy and prone to errors, susceptible to doubt.

And you’re way out of your league. All the time.

In oWoD’s Hunter: The Reckoning, you can’t advance your Edges (supernatural abilities) with XP.

To do so, you have to gamble Conviction during the session, while using said Edges (those Conviction points gambled add dice to your pool, ideally improving your odds).

If you succeed at the task, you gain Virtues (with which you can later buy points in Edges).

if you fail the task, you lose Conviction points. If you run out of Conviction, you lose your ability to use Edges at all until you rest/meditate/recover for a full week.

Not sure if it qualifies as “conceptual” or non-mechanical to you. But I love it.

Perhaps not with those exact names, but there’s a fix:

This is the completion of what I had in mind for the "tactical map". I must say, I didn't come up with the concept, nor the color palette. I got that from an image I downloaded from somewhere... But I don't remember where. Maybe the Traveller Discord?

Anyway, the main image is very much tied to the M2E version of Traveller, but back when I made this image I hadn't fully commited to one ruleset (I'm both a heavy houseruler and heavy improviser).

So here's one for Cepheus Engine:

And here's one for Cepheus Deluxe:

The Range tracker doesn't make sense for CD rules, but it looks cool and I didn't know what else to put there. :)

I settled on Campaign Cartographer 3+.

It has a steep learning curve, but seems to be the most powerful tool by far.

Has anyone tried to use the hunger dice mechanics with v20 or earlier?

The easiest Traveller version is definitely the one from Mongoose.

Also, you should check out Seth Skorkowsky’s overview videos:

One of these days, I'll buy Paranoia. I've heard about it and it sounds like something I'll enjoy. It's already on my wishlist.

Today, however, I realized I had the Red Clearance Edition wishlisted, but not the Core Book. And with that realization, comes the admission that I have no clue what's what.

So... does anyone here know the difference?

Sure, Red Clearance says we'd be Troubleshooters, but I don't know what that means. Would I still need the Core Book? Or is it just another flavour?
