Very glad to hear that you were able to get him in today and have wounds cleaned and the X-ray. Sorry to hear about the family situation that led to this. Also, don't pay any attention to the people online who read one thing about how outdoor cats are bad and now feel the need to tell everyone about it at every opportunity.
