Just so devastated. Just ranted at my parents for still supporting the nyt after all this shit. Like it's these media groups that are responsible for this. They platform the arguments directly used in the supreme Court case. Im just so sick of mainstream legacy media both sidesing every fucking issue. They are going to lead us to our downfall. They move the Overton window. Like yeah I know the supreme Court is conservative whatever what I said isn't wrong. The NYT are partially culpable here. Fuck me there goes my week / month / year whatever. Can't take this news rn

It really is depressing how many sellers are only on Amazon these days. I try and expend every opportunity for going through other sellers. And it usually works. But there's still some one off things only on Amazon that is really frustrating

For a message like this you want it to reach as many people as possible. Lemmy is absolutely not that platform. Tiktok and Instagram, for all their misgivings, have a much wider reach. I don't think people who are fearing for their life particularly care about the morals of using certain platforms

The dread in my stomach I get from reading shit like this is too much to stand at times. I feel so much horror and doom over this and how much worse it could get. I am ok for now in WA state but like for how long.

Idk y'all. I consider myself quite left. I don't like Democrats. I hate their positions in Gaza. A part of me understands not wanting to support them over this. But another part of me questions how you can just look at this. This and the horrific stuff happening after abortion bans and not see how dire this shit is. I fear for my life if trump wins. This shit is only the beginning. Panic attacks whenever I see this shit and know how much worse it'll be if trump wins and project 2025 is allowed to happen.

Idk what I'll do if he wins. I feel so damn hopeless and afraid
