This is conversion therapy, which is recognized by the United Nations as being tantamount to torture.

Euphoooooooria 😊

Was pretty overwhelming in the shops with the choices and all. Never liked clothes shopping.

Only went for top pieces, with the blouse in the picture and a similar one in green. Also a little vest and shirt underneath.
The vest absolutely sucks. Definitely gonna return that one. And while the blouses both seem a size too small, I was so happy trying them on. omfg. That this is even possible. I actually lack the words to articulate myself.

I'm glad you found one who is (at least somewhat) working :) and thank you for the kind words. It's really sweet :)

Every day I live is a cold revenge against the people who don’t want me alive.

Oh, you bet I'd post it to !unixsocks@lemmy.blahaj.zone !

Thank you for this write-up. Pretty cool story to read by itself :)

aside from that, it took me a while to feel confident going out with makeup

That's also what I have the most qualms about (or only qualms, kinda).

Thankfully the climate here is rather hot, without long, or particularly cold winters, so I can keep it light for now (wallet wise, too) :)

Everyone grins when they see it.

Yuuuuup :)

It's pretty cute and kinda subtle. I like it.

Shoes are also a struggle, but my feet really changed with HRT and now I fit women’s sizes much better.

That's really interesting. I had to go to a special store that made women's shoes in sizes most stores don't.

Damn, yeah ideas like this, and wearing the clothes only at home is pretty much what's on my mind, too.

I also had no idea about fashion back then so I had to experiment quite a bit and it took me a few years to really understand what looks good on me and what doesn’t.

x.x I'm gonna be extra friendly to my woman friends, so they will help me with make-up and stuff :)

Also happy to hear you had fun and didn't regret it.

Hi!

As the title says, please, as I'm looking for some inspiration :)

I've been looking to get some clothes for a while, but it's a bit tricky. Tyrannical country, so I can't try them on, and in most places I won't be able to return them if they don't fit/I don't like them. So I wanna be a bit careful about what I buy.

I took some of my measurements of hips, waist and bust and hope that's enough. But what to buy if I can't buy it all? 🤑

Underwear shouldn't be an issue, but the rest? Blazer? Blouse? Or a summer dress? I don't even know much about women's clothes even though I bought full outfits of my choice twice before (before realising my gender identity).

On the one hand, I feel it is my civic duty to get thigh-highs and that similar fabric to cover the the hands/arms, with a mini skirt and short top, taking a picture of my libreboot thinkpad with neofetch running. 😅

I also think what that some of what I'll enjoy myself in now will change when/if I transition more, and vice versa. So I don't know. Everything is on the table, but mostly I want something badass. :)

Thanks for reading and any help :)

Hah, my therapist was going through a list of countries where it would be safer with trans rights than this place in the middle east I'm at. Portugal, Iceland, etc. Not just do I also see the whole world super unstable right now anyway, but I also might just stay to fight for rights here, as my personal preference.

Also FWIW or if you ever lose sight of your self-worth, your memes played the most significant part in my realising my gender identity better and all the good that will come from that, and I'm forever grateful for it.
