Doesn't make it hurt less.

Ikr! Like it seems like it was only a week ago she had tiny ears and kitten facial features. Now she's almost four pounds!

Didn't even notice it until you pointed it out to me. Was supposed to be "freja." And I must've fat fingered it.

Here's hoping your cat turns out better than mine

Edit to add: Furryosa is the essence of destruction. Her first name should be frejam

Imo I think while she was being thrown around, the tip broke. Vet guestimates she was only 3-4 weeks old when I brought her in for the x-ray. Of course she was focused on the thoracic region because of the immediate nature.

And because she was so young, it didn't heal correctly. And took until about a month to two, to finally fall off. Just my two cents, but there is no telling.

The vet didn't think much of it, and her cat person step grandma said "that happen sometimes". If your not up to speed, she was being thrown around by an eighty lbs. Lab for an hour or two before I got to her. She was almost completely black but had no puncture wounds and the very sent me on my way with some pain meds and a recommendation to get something to keep her separate from the other cats for at night. She only used the hospital tent two nights before being healthy enough to run around by herself.

Here's a picture of the nub, and it seems fine. No sign of infection and me touching it isn't bothering her.

Confirmed it was only delayed.

Confirmed she is what you may call derpy, but I call it cute.
