My cat has an entire garden to run around in. Still comes in and chews on the indoor plants.

Granny is sitting there casually knitting. The adventure looks a bit closer and notices she's making chainmail armor. Using a ball of stainless steel as yarn. The ball jumps up and down, chipping away at the floor. This isn't helped by either a small tiger of really overgrown cat, most likely her familiar, batting at the ball. She notices the adventurer staring and asks:

"Hello young men. Would you like some armor? Here, let me check if it fits."

Granny stands up with the speed of an attacking snake and casually drapes the largely finished armor over him, making his knees almost buckle under the weight.

"Oh dear, this is a bit too big on you. Let me find one a bit smaller, perhaps in a lighter fabric. One second, please."

Choose one cat and chase it around the house. Next time they're not so sure they want to be picked.

Good dream. My dream would have the thing sprout spider legs and crawl over the stairs.

Yes, it's waiting for you to stand up so it will guide you to what it wants. Most likely food.

My cat looks affronted when a stranger is not petting her. Then she's laying there with this "am I not good enough for you?" look.

If you have two cats, that's a sign of split personality?

Cats are perpetually on the wrong side of a door. In the end the door is opened for anything furry making cat noises without thinking or registering this consciously.
