I really missed my deceased emotional support cat this week. (Don't feel bad, he lived an excellent life and was happy. I hope I get to say the same years down the road.)

No worries friend.

Dammit, Lemmy says you beat me to the joke by literally 30 seconds. Which is the time I took to look up this:

Great minds think alike.

TY - it could be, and that would help explain why tracking it down didn't work. I looked through his Instagram and Deviantart and didn't see it, but the signature is there, it's his genre, and it could be his style IMO.

I believe the artist is Svetoslav Petrov but I had trouble tracking down the actual source.

The mark of a successful vampire is that violence is a hobby, not an obligation.

Vampires? They’ve got a ton of guards

Oddly enough, I've been thinking today of how to make that exact meme.

"You say it was a 12-foot bear with a screaming, toothed sword? How much of what are you drinking on your shift?"

I know it's a silly picture, that chainsaws don't exist in most IP's, and most shapeshifters couldn't use them regardless. But it's the first thing I thought of when I saw the template.

Hell, after years of living in the nightlife of major cities I know some maniacs who would probably do it for free.

I like that a lot - it makes the crits feel more epic and unique.

Photo source is this cosplay from several years ago on Reddit.

Edit: Changed the caption slightly to a version I like a bit better.

Done, I subbed, and if I come up with more I'll try to contribute :)

One thing that became clear before I cross-posted - This meme is not medical advice. If you get a tick bite get it checked out ASAP because of potential Lyme disease.

That damage amount is freaky. Player sold their soul to roll the most damage anyone will ever see lol.

That looks hilarious. It's like the TTRPG of ridiculous anime.

[–] GrymEdm@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I've never played a TTRPG where I got to play around with 9th level spells or the equivalent and now I'm jealous. That's insane!

Even better if the foe was already almost dead. When you slap something for huge numbers it's also fun having the DM describe the wreckage that's left of your opponents.

I feel like some Table Top games are more prone to this than others, just based off watching some different IP's being played.

It's a recent-ish question about whether someone should fear running into a man or a bear more in the woods. I prefer to leave the discussions alone as they can degenerate quickly, but I like some of the memes so I made a TTRPG version.
