I remember seeing a post on the trans timeline subreddit of someone who covered their whole head and face in blue makeup and dyed their hair blue (both in the before and after photos). They said they consider it part of their identity and they've just always felt like that's what they need to do to reflect their true self to the world. Good for them for living their truth and if that's what makes them feel authentic I'm glad they're able to do so. I've just never really seen anything like it.

They would probably take the pills that make your skin turn blue in a heartbeat.

Nah, fuck JD Vance and everyone else in Peter Thiel's orbit. I wish all the misery in the universe upon them.

There's a certain irony in him not wanting to be reminded of a parent who pushed him away so he... Becomes a parent who pushes his own child away.

They even dared themselves to talk about tolerance and said I should be glad, that they were "tolerant" enough to not kick me out like other parents do.

Saying this after you told them you were leaving and not coming back is like a manager saying "you're lucky I don't fire you for this" after an employee hands in their resignation.

My favorite is that the coroner is often voted in. How does politics even remotely factor in to their jobs?

You cant expect us to get used to this for those few times you visit

They might as well say "we actively choose not to use your preferred name or pronouns when you aren't around. We refuse put in any amount of effort to get used to it in the first place, how can you blame us for not being used to it?"

You can call me amateur

It's also pretty infantilizing. Dolls are a child's plaything, the implication is that we're just dressing up and playing make believe.

Dolls are plastic facsimiles of "real" girls that are used as a child's plaything. Definitely grosses me out when people use it as a phrase specifically for trans women. It's a term that needlessly others us. Just call us women, if the situation calls for specifying that we're trans call us trans women.

I don't really mind if it's being used as a term of endearment between women, but I'm not a fan of it coming from men or being used as a trans-specific term.

That's why Ronnie Reagan implemented stricter gun control when he was Governor of California. A few too many black people legally acquiring the means to defend themselves for his tastes.
