My late void used to sleep on my bed and snore. Often the sound would get picked up on my laptop's microphone and coworkers in meetings would ask what that sound was.

My cat showed up at our back door as a kitten and my sister was able to catch her and get her spayed. We kept her in the basement for a while away from the other cats, but I would spend time playing with her and sleep on a futon to keep her company (or maybe that was for my sister's dog while she was at college, but I think it was for both of them). Anyway, she was generally pretty shy around most people, but she was my best buddy. She spent well over 90% of her time in my bedroom.

She liked to cuddle with me, but usually only for a few minutes at a time.

We had to put her down less than a year ago. That morning was the first time I actually cried in over 25 years.

I think he's about 12 now.

When my cat had to go to the vet, someone else would drive while I held the carrier open and pet the cat and let her look out the window. She would still cry, but not constantly.

I had her for at least 18 years and she was special. She was shy and spent 99% of her time in my bedroom, but she was also pretty vocal and would often reply when you spoke to her.

My dad had a pet skunk as a kid. I think he said it kind of acted like a cat.

I once sat down next to my cat and calmly said "I wish you would shut the fuck up." And she responded by biting my knee.

I was like, "yeah ok, I deserved that one."

I went through this just a few weeks ago. It was really hard seeing her refuse to eat anything. But at least she seemed to like looking outside, laying on her favorite blanket.

Had to put mine down several weeks ago. She was also 18. I lost several other pets and four grandparents without shedding a tear, but this one broke me.

The vet appointment was at 6pm, so I could spend the last day with her. She acted more or less normal for her age, except not eating for three days and throwing up water.

I was rubbing her head until her heart stopped. I still miss her so much.

That's a decoy. The real cat is behind you, ready to strike.

I feel like we need a community dedicated to "find the _____" pictures like this.

After I showed her one of the bird videos, she now eagerly waits while I turn on the tablet in the morning and she watches me open Youtube and pick a video.

Sometimes she accidentally closes the video, or opens the comments and then I need to step in to make sure she doesn't post any offensive comments.

Hoping for a few more years.
