This is what peak corkscrew looks like in my opinion:

As a related story I had a discussion with a guy that worked as head of security for a big watch manufacturing company in Switzerland (think about handmade watches worth several $10k-$100k)

He spotted some of the watchmakers casually going back home with watches in their pocket without any documentation about it, saying that they wanted to do some of the work at home. He stopped that of course.

He quickly got a call from HR explaining to him that a talented watchmaker is almost impossible to replace, they can go knock next door to another manufacturer and be hired at whatever salary they ask for. On the other hand It's much easier to find a replacement for a head of security.

So I imagine a talented wizard would be like the watchmakers, the lab could be highly secured but with blatant security breach because the wizard cannot be bothered.

They don't necessarily contradict each other (except for fundamentalist).

My understanding of religion is that the religion brings answer to the question "Why ?", the science on the other hand answer the question "How ?"

Science will explain how human life appeared on earth but not why human life appears.

Religion is one way to answer why are we here and should we do with our life. I don't necessarily agree with it but I could understand the appeal for some people.

Ukraine has experience with nuclear (55% of their current electricity production is from nuclear), they have the largest uranium reserve of Europe and their peak of electricity consumption is in December, when solar production is only 1/5th of summer production.

So for me it make complete sense to build nuclear power stations in Ukraine.

Energy in general is a huge geopolitical tool, see what happened with the Russian gas recently, most of the US military interventions in middle east are related to oil, France interference in Africa to secure uranium mining ...

Renewable energy is just another energy, the advantage of renewable energy is that the energy source is kinda well distributed around the world.

It's my fault, I forgot to turn off the tap while brushing my teeth yesterday.

Sorry everyone.

On the other hand the artillery mounted on trucks seems to be quite effective.

Stuff like the Caesar can park, fire 6 shells and leave in less than 3 minutes.

Also keeping in mind that being your authentic self does not mean making no effort.

I'm also sharing this project:

https://web.archive.org/web/20081113091234/http://www.elfic.fr/scrimpages/alchimie/nigredo.htm

A French blacksmith who did this knife using a meteorite and mammoth ivory.

Alchimie

Edit: a bit more details on the blade: he melted the meteorite himself, however since the meteorite did not have any carbon and had a really high nickel content or would have make a terrible steel so he added a bit of carbon and some raw iron do dilute the nickel.

Except for that the blade is entirely made from the meteorite.
