I always smirked, when people said their cat demands pets.

But, last month i met a pets-demanding cat for the first time. Just like in the pic, he got real close and had that look. Also, the body language, moving all around me, almost drilling his head in my stomach.

Dear God, it was hard to let go.

They can be so intensely affectionate, i didn't know that and I've met lots of cats in the past.

My cat has worked out how to deal with people who don't like cats. He can jump on your lap just before you're fully sat down and get in your face as with OP's cat. Also if you ignore him he'll put his head in your hand and move it back and forth to show you how the whole thing is supposed to work.

Some cats will even lift a paw to pull your hand (the direct source of pets) towards them.

I can confirm, mine does that.

I have a timeshare cat (I watch him when his family goes out of town,) whose ordinary as standoffish as they come.

Unless you happen to be one of like 3 people. It’s fun watching him figure out which one to harass with his aggressive affection,

Is there a community for cat pics that go hard?

This one. You're in the right place.

They also get wide when prey is targeted

[–] hexabs@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Shouldn't it get narrower?

[–] FooBarrington@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Nah, in hunting mode they suddenly get huge. I assume it's to improve tracking in low light conditions.
