Please dont let your cat loose in a moving car...

If that cats gets scared and goes to hide between the legs of the driver. Good luck.

The cat was hiding in the back, meow. Also,

I also used to let my cat hide in the back seat until someone reminded me that if the vehicle has to stop suddenly or is involved in a collision, the cat could go flying. It's much safer for them and for you for them to be in a carrier, and the carrier buckled in, or at least wedged in somewhere.

Shit answer.

You cannot control where a loose animal will go in a car. I've dealt with car crashes with dead pets.

And pets are absolutely a driver's distraction.

Fuck off with any driver that allows unsecured pets in their cars.

Nice! How well does your cat travel? I used to frequently stay with my mom for the weekend on some of my days off. It's about a 3 hour drive. I just got my first cat a few weeks ago and he is relatively chill in the car so I'm wondering how much of a good or bad idea it is to take him on a trip like that.

Well, it's not my cat and this was my first time traveling with her, but she was very calm, and slept in my lap most of the drive :)

Although, if you're driving alone you should probably put him in a carrier.
