I gave up on closing the bathroom door, which was fine when only my cat lived there.
But eventually I got a serious gf and forgot that normal people shut the door while pooping. I can still hear her shriek as she walked by "WE'RE NOT THERE YET!"

We became serious friends which was much better for us. (She also wanted, and now has, kids. I didn't and don't.) But I was one her bridesmaids/dude at her wedding.

His need to be in the bathroom if there's a person in there is so strong, he has recently learnt to operate door handles, to let himself in.
