TBH no matter how good a dog is I would barely trust it with its own litter, this seems like playing with knives except your hands are kittens.

I agree. When I was a kid our "good" Siberian Husky killed a litter of kittens and a few years ago a relative's Shih Tzu killed the kitten of a cat it was friendly with.
