Just check out the resumes of pretty much any astronaut. They're all incredibly accomplished people, the selection process is so competitive
I thought about becoming a navy seal as a springboard to Harvard Medical where I'd meet a NASA physician who'd convince me to become an astronaut. But then I thought I'd just go bowling instead.
