We have 2 of these. A nice, semi-open veranda that they can sleep on that's not cold.
One actually has a home but apparently is terrified of it because he always comes back.

Cats love having affairs. My mum’s cats most certainly get some food and attention from a neighbour sometimes.
But talking to the owners definitely can’t hurt.
I met my “timeshare” cat cuz the grump was stealing carrots and got stuck in the greenhouse. Fond memories there. Still don’t know what he did with them. I like to think he brought them to some other thoroughly confused human as tribute.
Cats don't have owners, they have human servants.
We have, they know, we bring him back, he just loves it here for some reason. Think he's in love with one of ours.
So the cat distribution system also works when the cat then goes off... interesing!
