This is a supportive community for all transfeminine or questioning people. Anyone is welcome to participate in this community but disrupting the safety of this space for trans feminine people is unacceptable and will result in moderator action.

That's truly heartbreaking. I was talking to an NB from Tamil Nadu for a while and they had similar issues with their family. Although I don't think their family was as religious.

If you live in a larger city, is it possible to contact a hijra gharana for help? Bare in mind I know nothing about them and as a Brit my knowledge of India generally is... Somewhat skewed. Also if you are able to get out of India (to study for example), don't try for Britain, they are going the same way as the USA. Other places in Western Europe are better for trans women (Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Portugal).

I really hope you find help with your situation. Just know you are a valued and important person just as you are, no matter what your family thinks.
