Why do they like toilet time so much?
My cat yells if I stay up too late, but only because I’m depriving him of bathroom time together.
Captive audience, plus your pants are warm and smell like you.
They also seem to deliberately employ awful timing.
Yeah, the cats love to BOTH snuggle into my bed, right before work, as I'm trying to get the heck out of bed.
Cats mark their territory with scent signals. The only place we scent signal is in the toilet.
Your cat thinks it's your holiest place and likes to share in it.
Mine won't sit like this, but will stand up with his paws on my knees and try to headbutt me in the nose.
So that's fun, I guess.
You're supporting each other, in a difficult time. Both pushing for a good outcome.
My cat knows I'm stuck there for a bit and she can harass me for pets. She'll straight up grab at my hands trying to pull them to her head
