How cat choose own name?
So when she first showed up some other people in my house called her "Bristles" and I was like oh no, not that. I compiled a list of names and just would try addressing her by a name off the list a few times a day. She was napping when I got to her name, but I said it and she lifted her head, looked at me and did that little mrrr? so it's her name.
Nice. Might try that next time I get a cat.
