Anti magic field and guards at the door if he's not naive.

TBF: You meant True Sight. ๐Ÿค“

AMF'd nullify the magic store's wares and the guards'd be at disad to do shit w/o it on them, anyhow.

Who cares if your wares are temporarily nullified. Some scofflaw is making off with your child's sword training money. Time to use AMF and beat them with a stick.

But true sight is better. I totally forgot about it lol.

"Temporarily"? You're implying that the caster'd drop the effect every time some "interested" buyer rando wanted to try something on, but throw it back up an instant later? That's some shitty security, to say the least. Better to have a "dressing room" or "firing range" set up to isolate & restrict effects, rather than dousing the whole damn place with a muggled muzzle.

The guards would have AMF on themselves at the doors. But as someone else already commented a week ago truesight would be better in this situation.

Yeah. Me. ๐Ÿค“

Also, how big are the shops in your world? AMF @ the front door and yet ample room leftover for trial runs, etc.? What is this, a Star Trek economy? ๐Ÿคฃ

just have an enchanted fitting booth, sealed floor to ceiling and the door leaves no gap.
