On the list of Familiar Abilities one is "dragon". I have a player thinking about picking up the Witch multiclass archetype for a familiar, and asking if theirs can be a dragon.

Is this allowed? Or is there some other context that I might be missing?

Those who previously had access to gender-affirming care are being notified that their care will no longer be provided.

FAQ:

  1. Why do you feel like crap?
  • Brain chemicals plus time, multiplied by the dysphoria co-efficient.
  1. You'd pass better if you just dressed like people.
  • Look, if I'm not dressed like I'm gonna run up the side of a skyscraper, holding a technosword, during a rainy night, in order to kill a god, is life really worth living?

2a. Just wear a brand somewhere.

  • Nope. Earth symbols and brands and such aren't diegetic to how I want to present myself. I specifically want to look like I don't belong.

2b. That makes you stand out.

  • Fine. As long as I'm read as a girl who's not from here.
  1. Why'd you climb halfway up Mount Hood?
  • Arch-nemesis at the top. Called him and asked me to meet halfway up for a thrilling sword fight cause I'm lazy and it's a compromise. (Seriously though, it was a hike with my wife and I was bitching bilingually going both up and down and it was very difficult to even make it that far.)
  1. Can you play banjo?
  • Nope. I tried though, but the hand doing the strumming is the one that took the most damage from two strokes. Can't even keep a rhythm.
  1. Your shoes aren't matching sometimes.
  • OH SHIT THANKS FOR POINTING THAT OUT
  1. Kids these days don't even know what Final Fantasy is, really.
  • Don't care, it was super formative to my heart and I'm almost 40.

Title question.

My wife is curious about what my new smell will be. All I know is that the stinkier elements change, not sure about the other parts.

The vision for Trump’s second term in the White House purports to protect families — but its anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric is centered in exclusion.

The U.S. Republicans' Project 2025 equates being transgender — or adopting “transgender ideology” — to pornography and declares that it should be outlawed. Under this plan, the federal government would enforce sex discrimination laws on the “biological binary meaning of sex,” and educators and public librarians who spread the concept of being transgender would be registered as sex offenders. The plan says that children should be “raised by their biological fathers and mothers who conceive them,” unless those biological parents are found unfit by a court.

These ideas have drawn national attention for their far-reaching scope, but they didn’t appear out of thin air. They all have roots in anti-LGBTQ+ state legislation that conservative lobbying groups and think tanks have supported for years, like the law that took effect in Kentucky. Contributors to Project 2025 include senior staff from Alliance Defending Freedom, whose lawyers have helped write anti-transgender legislation in a number of states and defended those laws in court. Members of the conservative groups Family Research Council and the American Principles Project, which have similarly pushed anti-LGBTQ+ bills and anti-trans rhetoric, have served on the Project 2025 advisory board.

Welcome back to Advent's Amazing Advice! The series where I take popular One-Shots, Adventures, Campaigns, etc. and fully prep them for both New and Busy DMs. This prep includes music, ambiance, encounter sheets, handouts, battle maps, tweaks, and more so you can run the best sessions possible with the least stress possible!

White Plume Mountain is an absolute classic Adventure for level 8 players; one that has been talked about for years and has been redone time and again. Heck, it was even ranked the 9th greatest Dungeons & Dragons adventure of all time by Dungeon magazine in 2004. This is the perfect Adventure for those of you who are looking for a bit of combat and a whole lot of puzzle!

Three magical weapons have been stolen recently. Clues in the form of a poem lead those in power to believe the weapons have been brought to a volcano which was once the hideout of a powerful wizard named Keraptis. These are no mere magical weapons, but sentient artifacts. Can your players survive the perils of White Plume Mountain and retrieve them!?

Without further ado:

Included in The AAA Collection is:

  • A Word document with all my notes including links to music tracks for ambiance and fights
  • Special PDF for all encounters. This includes the enemy stat blocks organized neatly along with an initiative tracker and a spot to mark HP
  • Spellsheets for all relevant encounters
  • Note from Krepatis and Hiring Letter Handouts
  • Custom Battle Maps

Dr. Kade Goepferd, medical director of Children’s Minnesota Hospital’s Gender Health Program, like many providers who treat transgender youths, has received death threats. Goepferd said the growing waitlist, which has expanded due to surrounding states' bans on gender-affirming care, is more concerning. The program has seen a 30% increase in calls, leading to a waitlist of at least a year. NBC News found that clinicians in states like Connecticut and California are similarly overwhelmed by the influx of out-of-state patients. Legal risks and logistical challenges, such as insurance denials, are straining providers. Shield laws are "a tenuous protection," according to Dr. Molly McClain of the University of New Mexico’s Deseo clinic. A "majority of gender-affirming care providers NBC News interviewed had received threats, ranging from angry calls and emails to arson."

Hey all, I currently can't get laser for a variety of reasons, and was wondering if anyone knows if using IPL now effects my potential of getting laser in the future?

I know certain things can make laser less effective, but I couldn't find any info about this. Thanks

Hi, everyone! So, I'm moving toward going on estrogen in the next year. Before I do that, there are some steps I want to take to prepare. I'm using an at-home IPL machine now for hair removal, and I'd like to get some voice lessons under my belt as well. The main step I want to take next is sperm cryopreservation. My fiancee and I want kids, but I'm not certain it would be a good idea to have a kid during puberty. So, we want to freeze my sperm or our embryos, and I was wondering if ya'll have any resources you could share? I've looked into a few at-home sperm freezing kits, but it's such a big deal to place your fertility in the hands of a company like that and any advice would be much appreciated! <3

Hello, we were wondering if there were any Peritoneal Pull Through Vaginoplasty surgeons in the UK, or if not or they're not good where would y'all recommend going?

Not currently seeing the GIC because of long waiting lists, so don't know if that's a concern. We are on hormones though.

Also, haven't had any other surgeries yet, should we do before consulting them?

Thanks!

Timeline Questions (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

Hey all, as I've been thinking about who I want to be and how I want to transition, I've gotten to wondering about people's transition timelines in general. If it's something you're comfortable talking about, how long did it take you from realizing your trans to taking steps to transition? When did you start using different pronouns, when did you come out to people, how long did it take you to know you wanted HRT and then to start it?

I realized I wasn't cis a few months ago, and have been growing my hair out and experimenting with clothing. I know I want to get permanent facial hair removal, and am interested in HRT but have reservations, and would value hearing others experiences about how long it took them to know what they wanted. I'm a very hesitant and self-doubtful person in general, and I guess just feel a bit lost in how to go about self discovery here.

Editing to say thank you very much all for sharing, seeing how different everyone's experiences can be is honestly really comforting.
