Cute story but "every day for months" and she never caught on that Piper is a cat? It's like the Brooklyn 99 joke about Scully's dog/wife.

My youngest brother came home from daycare everyday talking about how “Jason is sad. Jason was crying”. This went on for several weeks.
Finally we asked the daycare if Jason was okay. Jason was only there for one day.
Your brother met someone, was immediately concerned about why he was crying, and it stuck with him weeks after never seeing him again.
That's a wonderful display of empathy, not just some childish complaint. When we talk about how boys and socialized differently from girls, this is it. How we respond to kid's feelings is how they perceive their own emotions. And if we cue that it is something they ought to grow out of, they will grow out of it.
At that age he carried around a stuffed cow and absolutely loved The Wizard of Oz. Our dad loved musicals as much as martial arts movies. We were blessed to have supportive families. He’s 22 now. I saw him last weekend. He was excited to be babysitting his gf’s pet snake. He’s a good kid.
Rumour is Jason's still crying. If you try hard enough, you can hear his weeping at night.
That's why TLC warned us not to go Jason Waterfalls because that's how you earn a reputation for being a crybaby.
Such a cliffhanger though. Now I need to know: Was there or was there not a play date with Piper?

Says it’s an English name then all the examples are American. That doesn’t count because American women are called stuff like Milwaukee, Nixon, Armalite and Buick.
