SiegedSec, a collective of self-proclaimed “gay furry hackers,” has claimed credit for breaching online databases of the Heritage Foundation, the conservative think tank that spearheaded the rightwing Project 2025 playbook. On Wednesday, as part of string of hacks aimed at organizations that oppose trans rights, SiegedSec released a cache of Heritage Foundation material.

In a post to Telegram announcing the hack, SiegedSec called Project 2025 “an authoritarian Christian nationalist plan to reform the United States government.” The attack was part of the group’s #OpTransRights campaign, which recently targeted rightwing media outlet Real America’s Voice, the Hillsong megachurch, and a Minnesota pastor.

In his foreword to the Project 2025 manifesto, the Heritage Foundation’s president, Kevin Roberts, rails against “the toxic normalization of transgenderism” and “the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology.” The playbook’s other contributors call on “the next conservative administration” to roll back certain policies, including allowing trans people to serve in the military.

“We’re strongly against Project 2025 and everything the Heritage Foundation stands for,” one of SiegedSec’s leaders, who goes by the handle vio, told The Intercept.

The University of Texas at Arlington has closed its LGBTQ+ Program due to a new state law banning diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. The program provided mental health resources, support groups, and community events for LGBTQ+ students. Sen. Brandon Creighton (R), who wrote the law, said in a statement, "The legislation makes it clear that student-led organizations are not impacted in any way. But it is also clear that taxpayer funds should not be spent on conferring special benefits based on race, color, ethnicity or sexual orientation."

Disclaimer: My cat is a sphynx. I do not shave him, I do not cut his whiskers. Sphynxes are pretty varied and will have differing amounts of fur in different places. If they have whiskers, they usually are short, blunted, and brittle.

This is just him in all his natural weirdness, lol.

Around 1.5 weeks ago I had entrance exam for university. I used 1 month I had after school finished to spend more time to prepare for the exam. During that time I ignored my feelings regrding my gender identity which made me feel better at the time but things got worse after finishing exam. I'm desparate for HRT at the moment and I even considered DIY (I'd rather go to endocrinologist before HRT but DIY would allow me to start much sooner). At this point just the idea of living rest of my life as a man makes me feel dread. It's not any better with clothes. I'll probably order some feminine clothes, maybe even a wig, just to feel better about myself. Tomorrow I'll have to wear shirt and pants, had to try them today and for the first time in my life I hated it (before it just made me feel uncomfortable). Time that I spent preparing for exam now feels wasted because I didn't get any gender euphoria during that time. Even tho I did exam well at the end and I'll go to university I wanted that didn't make me feel happy at all because of dysphoria. Everyone else is more happy and excited than me about university. At least I have a session with my therapist soon to talk about all of this. I'll also talk with my mom about this, didn't do it yet because of some events that don't have anything to do with my gender identity. I just hope that everything will go well until I start HRT.
