~~This is the sale to Greece to make them less mad. The sale to Turkey was a while ago.~~

The despots are currently extracting their pound of flesh for Sweden.

It was the price of getting ~~Finland~~ Sweden into NATO unfortunately.

The F16/ to turkey was quid pro quo for Turkey to let ~~Finland~~ Sweden into nato. Which of course made the Greeks unhappy, so we sold them weapons so they weren’t unhappy and could defend against Turkish aggression. It also makes them a more capable ally.

Yes - Russia says they need to conduct their special military operation to rid Ukraine of Nazis (that don’t exist in any real quantity or position of power) and Nazis all over the world think “Fuck yeah, there are Nazis in Ukraine, we should help them!”. Then they find out that the Ukrainians aren’t Nazis, and the actual Nazis from the rest of the world don’t want to play anymore.

Or they finally realized the Russian propaganda was Russian propaganda and the Ukrainians aren’t actually nazis? And that made the real Nazis not want to support them anymore?

Well, you see, the 2,000lb bomb was heavy and the plane was tired of carrying it.

Really? If you buy a house, the closing happens at the bank, then you can’t return to your home?

Of course you can.

Ships have a home port, as defined by the owner of the ship. If a ship is sold, it would typically get a new home port, owned by the new owner.

All of Ukraine’s ports are in the Black Sea. Hence any ship owned by Ukraine not currently in the Black Sea is sailing back to port.

Why is that hard to understand?

Russia has several deep water ports outside of the Black Sea. It’s a slightly different ballgame, wouldn’t you agree?
