It's that optical effect. The high contrast. Those bright fluffy ears with the very thin dark line which separates the ear from the background/next dog. It looks like cut out and layered on top of each other to me. Even though the photo is real. Can't describe it better. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

There is something unsettling about this. Like... Each dog stands out like a relief before its background. And then the dogs in the background do the same.

PS: more nasal cavity volume is always a plus for a cat's quality of life. Evolution developed the round head with the protruding nose for a reason. A flat head has its malus. That's why they invented torx I presume.
