Both are good. Even at the same time.

Same with my cat. Many nice and easy jumping up points but he chooses to jump at the round post and then scale up the rest of the tree.

Now let's just hope he can get on with the second best thing he'll do in his life, which is die.

How do you do long rests that makes it annoying? Usually it's:

Party: We would like to take a long rest.

DM: Sounds good, you are now rested.

Only a cat would hunt and kill a several thousand pound fire-breathing dragon, drop it on the front step, and expect a treat.
