If you get bonded cats they may. Ours sleep together on the couch but one of them still likes to get a few slaps in when she has a chance.

Cats can develop serious problems if they don't eat for 2-3 days. Mine will refuse to eat a food she doesn't like for 24+ hours easily. We never let it go that long and have to give in to the wills of our feline overlords.
