One of my favorite things is giving fantastic creatures ordinary human names. My group will never forget Walter the minotaur who did absolutely nothing interesting aside from being named Walter.

In this specific case, there's really no harm and it is probably better for the cat to accidentally consume some tumeric instead of flea shampoo. If it helps with fleas and you don't mind having a yellow cat, who cares?

This assumes that these people at least took a moment to check that tumeric isn't poisonous to cats. If they didn't, I agree with you fully.

Fun fact: the word gargoyle refers specifically to a stone creature carving that is designed to drain water away from the sides of a building. If it's just decorative, it's called a hunky punk.

Edit: missed a word

“Fun” fact: here in Germany, xenophobia is strongest in those areas with the lowest percentage of inhabitants perceived as migrants.

The same happens in the US. Several of my old friends from high school lost their shit when they found out 200 migrant refugees were being brought to their town. Then they lost it again when I asked them what they were so afraid of. A month later when I askedihow their lives had changed at a result they had all forgotten that it ever happened.

I'm ready to be less united with some of these states.

Of history and biography books that were banned last year, 26% featured Black people, and 25% featured LGBTQ people.

That's actually lower than I expected.

Trying to gauge how long something will take your party is an impossible task. I had 90% of the first session of a new campaign get eaten up by an unlocked door with no handle that was just needed to be pushed somewhat firmly. They ended up building a makeshift handle out of debris and accidentally opened the door while trying to hammer it in. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when they realized that they had never even tried pushing it.

At this point, I have trouble understanding how anyone outside of the direct conflict can see either side as "the good guys."
