Are you able to tell the two black ones farther from the camera apart consistently? The other three all have distinguishing features but those two look like carbon copies of each other, even down to the expressions om their faces

(all five are beautiful though)

The Seal of Solomon. Solomon's signet ring, given to him by God, is supposed to have granted him a bunch of supernatural abilities, one of which was the ability to command things like devils and jinns. I think the story is only part of specific mysticist beliefs within the Abrahamic religions and not in any of the main texts, hence the GM having to check their books for it

LOT: Look I know we didn't get the hint very quickly but I think sending angels to literally handhold us out of the city might be too much railroading for me.

GM: Alright, I'm sorry, I just... I spent all afternoon planning stuff in Zoara.

EDITH: Hey, I know they said not to look back, but I want to look back. They'll never notice.

GM: You sure about that?

EDITH: Let me enjoy seeing Steve get divinely smote at least

GM: Alright, roll a Con save

EDITH: Con save? To look without the angels noticing?

GM: It's not about the angels

Then you should capitulate to those demands immediately

To be fair that still doesn't prevent you from kicking arseholes out of the group. I run games for randoms on Discord and will absolutely tell people to either remember that we're all here to have fun or to not bother coming back. That said I do recognise that it can be difficult to find groups sometimes and that can push people to have lower standards than they maybe should

TTRPGs with no potential for unexpected failures are improv storytelling. Also a valid hobby, just, like... a different one

I have never seen a cat look so much like one of those worm-on-a-string toys

I grew up next to a Norwegian neighbour who called our cat "Kattepus", and I have apparently picked up and kept the habit of referring to my own cat that way. He's also called Baggy, because being a black cat everyone wanted me to name him Bagheera

I sincerely hope that someone has managed to use Command: autodefenestrate in an English-speaking game at some point. It'd have to be in some context where jumping out of the window wouldn't hurt the subject, but if you're in a room with a window out on to a canal or something then I'm pretty sure that could be a solid way to get rid of them for a bit

Then you still don't know which door is the correct one, you've just learned which guard tells the truth and you've used up your one question. The trick is to ask which door the other guard would tell you is the correct one and then go through the other door. If you've asked the lying guard, they'll lie about what the honest one would say and point you towards the wrong door. If you asked the honest one, they'll truthfully tell you what the lying guard would say and also point you towards the wrong door
