Before someone tries to make the claim, no, the hospital staff couldn't have taken the babies with them. These were premature babies in oxygen-saturated powered incubators, which could not be moved.

Possibly if a fully set up ambulance was available for each baby, it could be done, but the IDF has been bombing ambulances too and there aren't that many available anyways.

This article is inaccurate or at least misleading in its title presentation. It's reporting on something that happened on October 20th, as the second paragraph notes, and was never actually enacted. In fact, Biden moved back from this and has been instead moving to restrict all weaponry sales to Israel in the past few days.

Biden has not been in any form of good light in my eyes in the past two months, but please don't spread fake or misleading information like this.

But the administration remains wary about Netanyahu’s endgame and seeming lack of a plan for what to do once Hamas is defeated. There was no sense that the pause would turn into a lengthier cease-fire, a senior administration official said. And there was some concern in the administration about an unintended consequence of the pause: that it would allow journalists broader access to Gaza and the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there and turn public opinion on Israel.

Wtf? That's some evil sh*t. You don't want journalists to have access so they can accurately and truthfully report on what has happened, because it might make you look bad?

Ugh, Biden is such a POS.

I mean, the article above claims that the IDF said so in their video. And the long-standing claim by Israel has been that Hamas dug an entirely new network of tunnels beneath the hospital.

It would be strange if they were just meaning the tunnels they themselves made decades ago.

So this is a new tunnel that didn't exist before? And is not a part of the large basement tunnel complex Israel made when they built al-Shifa in the 80's?

[–] Silverseren@kbin.social -1 points 2 years ago

They're already moving on West Bank as well. The IDF is currently sieging the hospital in Jenin.

"Oh sorry, Hamas actually was never in northern Gaza in the hospital we've been claiming they've been in for years, in the imaginary tunnels we claimed existed with an extensive multi-leveled underground structure we even made a 3D video for.

No, actually, they've been in this other hospital in southern Gaza this whole time, the area we told everyone from northern Gaza to go to and totally aren't just using as an excuse to continue the invasion into the rest of the country."

Especially with this coming on the heels of that almost pristine copy of Mein Kampf they were pushing as belonging to a Hamas member in a children's room the IDF partially blew up.

[–] Silverseren@kbin.social -1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Isn't this the video where they used things like a calendar with regular dates and claimed it was a list of Hamas members?

The entire area they showed looked like the power area of the hospital's basement, with various things on the walls and such that indicate hospital and nothing else.

Their only "evidence" in the videos was the pile of guns they showed, which...isn't really evidence of anything, especially since we have no way to tell if those were planted or not.

[–] Silverseren@kbin.social -1 points 2 years ago

Well, that's misleading. The article acts as if they're doing it from the hospital. They're firing from the road. There's nothing given in the article indicating they had anything to do with the hospital.

[–] Silverseren@kbin.social -1 points 2 years ago

I'm not claiming it's fake, I'm stating that it isn't evidence for claiming the freelance journalist depicted participated in what happened on the 7th.

It's literally the only image y'all have and you keep parading it around. What is it evidence of exactly? And what does it have to do with any reporter other than this single guy?
