The cat became the soul mate.
The full story is bonkers. The CIA (Cat Illustriousness Ascendancy) planted Browser into the library's hierarchy to get people use to a cat being part of an organization.* On June 14, 2016, Councillor Elzie Clements of White Settlement tried to remove Browser from the Library. Clements had the democratic votes to support the removal of Browser. The vote was 2 to 1 to remove Browser. Clements had the votes to remove Browser.
The CIA hearing this started a massive psy op campaign against the City to prevent that from happening. The CIA was successful, so successful their pawn Mayor Ron White *the lone yes vote) declared that Browser was to dubbed to "Library Cat for Life". This only took about 2 and half weeks.
Clements later lost their re-election bid in November 2016. This was all because of the CIA. Clements tried one more time to remove Browser in a lame duck session. Clements only ally on City Council knew not to fuck with the CIA and wisely voted against the motion.
To make sure that everyone understood that the CIA is in charge. Clements was died of "natural causes" 6 years later. The purfect time for an assassination. Not too close to destabilize a government and far enough to make sure enemies of the CIA know that the CIA will get them.
Browser passed away on September 3, 2025

It a haunted house investigation game played through Discord. I imagine some tweaking it could be played through any means with any setting.

I player character who is being an asshole can be a lot of fun to weave a great story. I played a huge asshole of a character, who was not afraid of being an asshole. I've also played characters who did not trust the group at all and was already to kill/back stab everyone.
My last character was wearing warpstone armor and was slowly going paranoid. I made it clear to the table that at somepoint, I was going to have to fight everyone. My poor character died in a 1 v 1 fight against a wizard.
It is a fine line to play these types of characters cause it's easy to affect everyone's else enjoyment of the game.
Now, an asshole player has no spot at the tbale.
