Everything I have read (and experienced) with kittens is that you want to get them out of this reaction as fast as possible. That means reducing whatever stimuli is causing this and then switching to soothing as you gradually reintroduce said stimuli. That way they know it is okay and don't develop lifelong aversions to it or decide that threatening to murder some fools is the right thing to do.

Possible this is a feral cat (at which point things change... but not all that much) but if you have a feral cat out in the open in a room... you got other problems.

Don't get me wrong. Some of my favorite memories of my little booger are her trying to act tough and angry. But there are other things to be doing when they are in that state.

If your cat is attacking neighbor animals you should not let it outside anymore. Culling wildlife is problematic but "their nature". But a pet that actively attacks other people's pets is just a menace and will only end in heartache and legal issues.

The reason why the Taliban and all the other extremist groups could rely upon "kill one terrorist and you make five more" is because even the Soviet Union didn't want to completely wipe out the populace of Afghanistan. The IDF has demonstrated they have zero qualms about that. You have family members full of resentment... until they get murdered too.

And it isn't like neighboring countries will accept many Palestinian refugees that will become (yet another) force in the future. Palestine has pretty much always been supported only as far as it inconvenienced Israel with no nations actually caring about the people.

I wish peace were on the table. But the idea that the IDF can't "win" is ignoring the reality of what they are doing.

"We" have more or less learned to distinguish between Hamas and Palestine because, outside of the dumbfuck tankies, nobody is stupid enough to think Hamas at all cares about Palestinians. But there is no similar acknowledgement for the IDF/Israeli Government and the people of Israel. Instead, we get disgusting stupidity like this topic chain where "Well... I am not going to say you deserve it but you totally deserve it" is the theme at hand.

It is the exact same idea about being anti-zionist without being anti-semitic and how so much discourse is failing at that. Which... makes it a lot harder to garner the level of support that would allow politicians who are very dependent on "the Jewish vote" to make it clear they are condemning a government and not a people.

Personally? I see no way that even a two state solution can work at this point. Ignoring the issue of land and resources, it will be Hamas and Islamic State assholes who take power in Palestine and that will just be pushing this off. But I also see no way that the Israeli Government will stop at anything short of genocide. But all of this not even veiled "Well, maybe you should have thought to not be born in Israel you colonist prick" level commentary is just making sure that there is no solution other than genocide by the side with the bigger guns.

A lot of people do not understand nuance or "shades of grey". The US/NATO were incompetent opportunistic oppressors. Ergo, their enemies were heroes, end of story.
