It can be fine to just "talk it out, man", but that runs into the problem where my character on paper has CHA 20 but me in real life rocks a solid 10 CHA. Or the other case, where the fighter with 8 CHA has a salesguy for a player, and he punches well above his on-paper skills using his real life personality, where I'm sidelined.

There is another. I've found that being (imo) charasmatic, and being a charasmatic character, means DMs just talk to me, rather than ever asking for any rolls. Sure, my argument is convincing, but I still want to use my numbers!

I'm running mine. I'm playing Pokemon Tabletop United with my friends. Going for Pokemon Ranger and Mystery Dungeon vibes, but in an industrial revolution time period, with the main quest being a One Piece-style journey to the other end of the world, to conquer the unknown Wilds and meet the gods. As my players Trek through the wilderness, they'll have the opportunity to impress the gods, earn their favor, and compete against other Explorers to be the first to reach the End of the World

This is exactly the kind of challenge I love. How can Konsi do all the good she wants to do without damaging the church's reputation? Does she need to become a bit of a revolutionary, change the status quo to improve the lives of those in need? If she does, the voices saying her church is interfering in the government will only get stronger, so it's a fight for public opinion. And how far do her funds actually go when she's working on the scale of the landed gentry? What kind of adventurer powers can help in a situation like this? Is the government secretly run by Mindflayers? There's only one way to find out

Now consider, how would those insecurities look with elf ears? What about horns and a tail?
