People fear what they don't understand or are not used to. I have had a number of acquaintances and even a few friends that are. I support them. Do I understand it, hell no. Does it make me a bit uneasy, yes. But I'm a bit ASD so all social interaction tends to do that. That's a me problem and I don't take it out on others.

Maybe netanyahu should have thought about that before he pushed them to take over from fatah. I mean he knew even back then what he was getting. This is what netanyahu wants. So while it would be awesome if Hamas and especially Israel stopped killing civilians. The onus is on Israel and netanyahu.

Lenin's intent as misguided as it was. Was to create a system to develop Russia's economy to the point they could adopt communism. But not without another revolution to overthrow the monster he made.

I don't mind it being pointed out. It's especially damning because of that. You would think that they had learned better. But as is often the problem with humankind. We don't ever really learn. We just retaliate when given the chance.

When I say Israel that means government. When I say Israeli people. That means Israeli people. Like when people say America. Typically means American government. When they say American people. That typically means the American people. Is that clear? Hopefully that clears it up.

And to be 1000% clear. It is the Israeli government, specifically likud In the knesset that are the problem. Plenty of the Israeli people are aghast at their own government's actions.

It doesn't matter that they agree with me. The panel as a whole decided that it was likely genocide was taking place. It's just especially damning when those from the home team have to reluctantly concur on a number of points.

Israel != Jews. Lots of Jews are calling out Israel for, to all outward appearances, committing genocide. One of Israelis own judges on the recent IJC hearing with South Africa concurred with South Africa on two points IIRC. Not to mention that Israel failed to make their case completely. So there's that.

The Soviet Union, current China, North Korea, etc are all based in Marxist linenist thinking. None of them are communist. Not in any significant sense. And they are all common places for this sort of narrative. Although in Russia you tend to fall out of a high window onto bullets or exotic sometimes radioactive poisoning.. Each one has their own flare they use to take out people who speak up or don't toe the party line. In China disappearing and then mysteriously resigning etc while still being disappeared is their chosen method.

Shady shit. Just ML things. People totally burn out, step down and go elsewhere for their health. But this sort of narrative only pops up in those supposed ML bastions of freedom etc. And we ONLY heard about this one because he was wealthy and visible. Thousands of others were very likely not as lucky.

100%. If Germany isn't funding Israel, maybe we shouldn't fund Israel either. Just putting that out there. Consistency is key.
