A cargo ship was hit with a missle today and the US destroyer coming to its rescue had to knock down two more.

More attacks and they’ll go from targeting to targeted.

You REALLLLLY don’t want to mess with the USN when it comes to freedom of navigation. If you do your life is going to become a lot more interesting very quickly.

This is why Iran is using the Houthis as proxies.

They go poof, Iran doesn't loose half it's navy (again.)

I'm assuming at some point the risk they pose will have to be dealt with directly. I'm also assuming that it's a big ask for the US in an election year.

You can't deal with them directly. The hothi are residing in the mountainous areas of Yemen. You can't easily bomb or invade.

Ever detail I hear about these makes them sound more and more like Tuscan Raiders on Tatooine.

So basically Iran is telling the Houthis to paint a giant target on their backs hoping the US would be too absorbed eating them alive to deploy against Hezbollah if they get moved into action

As if Lebanon itself wouldn't begin eating Hezbollah alive for putting them in Israel's crosshairs again should Iran give the signal.
